This booklet is a copy of a copy. In December 1993 Darrell Anderson borrowed a scrapbook belonging to Claude and Shirley Sedenquist, photocopied 44 items out of it, bound them, and returned the original. His covering letter — the first frame here — says the copies are “only a small part of your book.” The scrapbook itself is not in the archive, and finding it would supersede this.

All 89 frames are shown as captured and levelled, not restored: photocopy contrast, page curvature and the occasional binder ring are baked into the images. Eight frames were sideways in the original scans and have been righted; the rest were checked and left alone.

The pages are largely press clippings — the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Seattle Times, Washington State Restaurant News, Food Service Magazine and Ivar's own staff newsletters. The scans are the collection's; what is printed on them is often not. Seven crops taken from these frames are not published, including the 1959 portrait of him — they are cited in the biography and never reproduced. Each records the frame and pixel box it came from, so a cleared crop can be remade exactly.
